What is InfraGard?
PayPal ButtonPayPal Button

InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and members of the private sector for the protection of U.S. Critical Infrastructure. Through collaboration, InfraGard connects businesses to the FBI, to provide education, information sharing, networking, and workshops on emerging technologies and threats. InfraGard’s vetted membership includes: business executives, entrepreneurs, lawyers, security personnel, military and government officials, IT professionals, academia and state and local law enforcement—all dedicated to contributing industry-specific insight and advancing national security. Today there are approximately 60,000 members in 79 local InfraGard Member Alliances (IMAs) that operate as 501(c)(3) organizations.

What does the Denver Chapter do for the community?

The InfraGard Denver Members Alliance (IDMA) is the 6th largest chapter in the U.S. with over 2,100 active members. The membership expands beyond the Denver area and includes members throughout Colorado and Wyoming. The IDMA hosts 3 major events each year that are half-day or longer in length. The speakers and panelists at these events include the FBI, DHS, Secret Service, InfraGard members as well as public and private industry experts across all the critical sectors.

The 3 major events planned in 2021 will focus on:

  • Virtual - Counterintelligence (Insider Threats, Active Intelligence Efforts) - March 12th

  • Virtual - Criminal/Cyber (Organized and Cyber Crime, Business Email Compromise, Fraud) - June 12th (tentative date)

  • Virtual / In-person - Counterterrorism (Domestic Extremism, Critical Infrastructure, Online Recruitment) - September 17th (tentative date)

The IDMA is comprised of 16 critical infrastructure sectors and holds sector-specific meetings and events throughout the year. The largest sectors are Information Technology (IT), Financial Services, Healthcare and Public Health, Energy, and Defense Industrial Base.

Why do we need your sponsorship?

Each chapter is incorporated as a non-profit entity (501(c)(3) organization) operating independently from the FBI and the National InfraGard organization. The IDMA partners with corporate sponsors and individuals to support initiatives protecting our region's critical infrastructure. Donations fund chapter events, meetings, and operating expenses providing direct value back to the membership and community.

Why should your company sponsor IDMA?

By contributing to your local 501(c)(3) InfraGard chapter, your company is demonstrating its commitment to the local community and delivers value through information sharing, collaboration, and partnership. The Denver InfraGard Chapter has an active membership and holds 3 large chapter meetings each year. The IDMA also holds various events within its industry specific sectors. Your sponsorship will be acknowledged at all events and there will be specific opportunities for your company to interact with our membership. The IDMA Leadership team is committed to continuing its efforts in 2021 to grow, engage, and support the membership in new and innovative ways.
